Process Control Automation Specialist

Progesys is a company recognized for its expertise in managing industrial projects and their optimal transition from construction to operation. The company is based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia and South America.

Progesys is currently looking for Process Control Automation Specialist to work in a mining project in Mongolia.

Responsibilities:

Frontline discipline role responsible for delivering the discipline work scope as planned.
Ensure PLC/DCS control system including the connected I/O, functionally operates as per design, and is appropriately configured and tested as required to demonstrate to the client that it meets the design criteria and intent.

Requirements:

Minimum 15 years professional practice post completion of graduate/ trade training
10 years experience working in Industrial Automation, programing PLC’s and DC’s, integrating industrial control applications.
Experience working in a remote site is preferred.
Exposure to heavy industry/ process commissioning, industrial equipment integration and automation.
Equipment exposure to ABB/SIEMENS PLV’s, Emerson DCS (or equivalent), level instrumentation, pressure instrumentation, Hazardous Area Instrumentation, SIL rated safety equipment, PROFIBUS and BUS topologies, structured cabling systems, fibre optics networks, HV Transformer protection and control schemes and HV/LV cabling systems, ABB/SIEMENS Switchgear, ABB/SIEMENS VSD Drives, ABB/SIEMENS Motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, crushing equipment, pumps, gearboxes, fluid systems and pipework, heat exchangers, valves, boilers and Hazardous Area wiring schemes.
Exposure to Emerson DeltaV, AB RSLogix, FactoryTalk, Siemens SIMATIC TIA, STE7/STEP5, WinCC, Prosoft Tools, ABB MNavigate
Licenses required: Light Vehicle License, Rigging, Dogging, Elevated Work Platform
